For the collector of vintage postcards of animals having a koala is a must. You might get lucky and find an older card with a Koala up a tree that is part of the Southern Cross Series. If you do, you may end up paying 15.00 dollars or more for it. Or maybe you can look on a site like postcards.delcampe.net which is a site much like eBay only just for postcards.
For the collector of animal postcards, finding a more recent koala card is much easier. A site like giftlog.com has several cards for sale that feature the "Native Australian Bear." Or you might go to Australianexplorer.com to locate what you want.
If you happen to be a stamp collector, and animal stamps are what you collect, there is a 5 stamps that were issued by Australia featuring native wildlife. One of those stamps is of a koala. In 1995, China and Australia joined together to issue stamps with rare animals. China's stamp was the Panda, and Australia's stamp was of the Koala. In 1994 Australia issued a set of 6 stamps. Three of the stamps had Koalas and the other three were of Kangaroos. Interestingly enough, Taiwan issued a set of 4 Koala stamps in 2002. The Cook Islands also printed a Koala stamp.
Finding postcards of Koalas is not difficult if you want to go to sites like Zazzle that print both postcards and postage stamps to order. Otherwise, you may find locating postcards and stamps with Koalas are harder to locate on line than many other animals.
